Description |

This car was restored in the 1980s after sitting in a garage for 15 years. Although it was a complete car, irtually everything needed to be replaced. It has been driven regularly about 25,000 miles since the restoration was completed. The car had about 96,000 miles showing when I had the engine rebuilt. The speedometer died at about 116,000. New speedometer shows about 9,100.
Over the past 31+ years, henever the car needed something, t got it. It starts, uns, nd stops and does all of it well. I don't believe it needs anything and is driven every weekend, eather permitting. My trips are mostly a minimum of 20 to less than 40 miles, t usually 45-60 MPH. The last time it ran on a longer trip was a 265 mile round trip to our State Meet in Jacksonville FL in 2012 and a 95 mile round trip to the Daytona Speedway Turkey Run in 2013. Though many items were replaced or repaired decades ago, hey all look or function as they did originally. The only thing that deteriorated was the silver mylar on the doors which started to discolor. I have a replacement from Southeast Studebaker that will go with the car.
I have all the titles from the previous owners as well as every receipt for every part that I've purchased for the car, nd repair I've done, except oil changes. I also have a spreadsheet showing the repair/part, mileage, nd cost of everything. Rebuilt Packard 352" V8 engine- Chrome valve covers.
