Description

You are bidding on a completely restored 1971 Triumph TR6 in Old English White over the correct Matador Red “ambla” interior, atching the VIN plate with paint code 19 and trim code 12 (see photo) and exactly as it appears on the official British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate that comes with the car.

This particular TR6 was the recipient of a 100 point Concours restoration approximately 20 years ago. It remains today in essentially the same condition as it did when the restoration was completed and probably still the nicest TR6 in the Country. It is also the first and one of only 3 TR6’s ever invited to participate in the Ameila Island Concours de’ Elegance event (ameliaconcours.org).

The car has actually never been registered for street use since the restoration and has only been trailered to and from the more than 100 events where it has participated over the last 20 years. The only mileage on the car has come from being driven on and off an enclosed trailer and from short “exercise” runs to insure it continues to run well.

Both the interior and exterior of the car remain in show condition. It comes with all of the original weather equipment (black convertible top, hite tonneau cover and red convertible top boot). The top itself is even a factory NOS top sourced at the time of the restoration so not even a reproduction. All are still in “as new” condition. (see photos)

All 5 chrome wire wheels are in nice condition while riding on original Michelin sized 185/60/15 red line tires.

Included as well are all of the documentation associated with the restoration, wners manual, orkshop manual, eritage Certificate, melia Island Concours invitation letter and even the “Auto Restorers” magazine article documenting the completion of the restoration.

Please ask all questions prior to bidding and do not bid unless you intend to buy. I have lots of additional engine compartment and underbody photos so please do not hesitate to ask for areas you would like to see.

Vehicle is being sold as is where is with no warranties either expressed or implied. A $2,000 non-refundable purchase deposit is due within 2 days of the close of the auction.
