Originally owned by State of Indiana and assigned to Governor Clifford Townsend. The original Indiana 1939 license plate has a star and a numeric 1. indicating the plate was assigned to the governor's car. That tradition is still followed. Ownership since 1963 is known. Repainted once with nearly the same original gold color. Both original front fenders were replaced with fenders that included spare tire covers by owner John Smith after 1973. 1 spare wheel / tire included. My deceased father bought the car in May 2012 and restored it through November 2013. The restoration included a new top. tires. radiator. water pump. rear carpet. nbsp;carburetor. horn. starter. exhaust manifold. intake manifold. nbsp;fuel pump and other parts. There is a raised identification number (5I3I34) embossed in the firewall on the driver's side. Stored in garage heated to 68 F at all times since my father bought the car. except when driven.
