We have a few years of service history and have just gone over the car in preparation for sale. So many of the Spitfires we see are worn and not in good condition. This low mileage example is actually nice. It has been painted at some point. The interior is original and clean. The top is brand new. installed here. The car starts. runs and drives just as it should. It is up to date on maintenance. records are available. Recent notable items include new tie rod ends. fuel pump. brake master cylinder. engine mount. rear wheel bearing. and a tune up. The only thing relatively obvious is that the tires do not match and are a little worn from needing an alignment (which we just did) So eventually a set of tires will be in order. Besides mechanical issues. the major enemy of these cars is rust. This example has very little rust showing. It has had the floor board patched on the driver side which is apparently normal. Not pictured. but also included are a boot for the convertible top and slip over seat covers (to keep the originals nice. ) We will gladly answer any questions about the condition of this car as well as service history. Financing is not available due to the age. We have the car in our show room. so please call ahead if you want to set up a test drive. Note that pre-1982 vehicles do not have a 17 character VIN and are therefore cannot have a Carfax report. The title and registration process and associated costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. We provide airport pick up from GSO at no charge. 3. Deposit and final paymentA deposit of $500 is required within 24 hours of sale. Payment in full is required before a sold vehicle can be released. Vehicles can be paid for in cash. by certified funds. by personal check. once cleared. and by loan check. Auto Focus must be notified within 36 hours of sale as to how the vehicle will be paid for. An important note about the deposit: We try very hard to accurately represent our vehicles. If you are the winning bidder. or agree to purchase a vehicle and are dissatisfied with the condition of the vehicle once you arrive. we will return your deposit.
