1927 Willys Knight model 70 A NO RESERVE. I'm thinning out my collection a bit. Too many cars and not enough time to enjoy driving them all. This car is a great example of a very re store able car. No rust through anywhere. The underside has light surface rust. The tires are brand new 6 ply Goodrich Silvertown 6 x 20's. I drove this car a lot a few years ago and it's a blast to drive. It runs. drives. and stops well. The sleeve valve engine fires right up and purrs. The sleeve valve engines were ahead of their time. The con to these engines is that they smoke pretty good till they warm up. Once you're about a half mile down the road the smoke clears up. I rebuilt the water pump. re-sealed the water cover and had new nuts made for it. installed a new fan belt. rebuilt the original vacuum fuel pump. nd rebuilt the carburetor. All of the lights work - even the dash light. The horn works. speedometer works. ammeter works. and oil pressure gauge works. Oil pressure runs about 25 lbs cruising down the road. Top speed is 45 mph. The gas gauge does not work. and the choke cable is not correct to the car but I do have the original one. The windshield has a crack in it. he dome light is not installed but I do have it. There is a dent on the back top of the car that can be seen in one of the pictures. The original interior is all there but certainty needs restored. 2 of the rear window cranks are broken. I installed a brand new 6 volt commercial battery a couple of days ago. I believe the Willys Knight was a pretty exclusive car back in the day. These cars were built well with quality in mind. Click on the main picture for supersize images. I'll gladly help out with the hauler of you choice. The car is stored in my heated shop. Any questions give me a call at 608-697-8366 (Bob)This is a no reserve auction - Thanks!
