Description

For auction here is a very unique and EXTREMELY rare to find White Motors PDQ (pickup, eliver, uickly) B-series stepvan. These vans are next to impossible to find. This van has the ultra short wheelbase at 103" which is extremely desirable with the custom stepvan building and hot rodding crowd.

This van was found out in the central Oregon desert and only has very minor surface rust. Absolutely no rust through on it. The original orange paint would even polish up to a nice shine if one wanted to keep it the original color. This van was last registered in 1974. It has a clear title that shows a company owned it called R&L Produce out of Portland Oregon. These vans had some very unique features like the fiberglass roof.

This van is 100% original and complete minus the radiator which had been taken out for some reason prior to me buying it. The only other issues I can mention and that I have tried to capture in the pictures are that there are a few minor bumps and bruises to the sheet metal, ut nothing major or structural and zero signs of any prior body repairs. The wooden cross members that support the fiberglass roof have dried out and have a slight inward bow. The passenger sliding door has jumped it's track, ut should be easily adjusted back onto it's track with the strength of a couple people. The driver's side fresh air vent has taken some damage at some point in the vans life. A couple of the windows are broken but they are all flat glass and replacements can be easily made. The ignition was missing when I found the van and I have never tried starting or even had a battery attached to it. The engine does turn and is not locked up. The tires appear to be original, t has all 4 dent free hubcaps which I have to imagine are quite valuable by themselves.

This is a neat little van and I can guaranty you that you wont be running into anyone else that has one. I collect old cars, nd have had many vintage stepvans and this van here is one of the coolest and hands down the rarest one I have ever had. I prefer the old Metros though so I am using this to help along another Metro stepvan project I have been working on. I just wish my Metro project was in as solid of shape as this one. I had a strong urge to put airbags under it and remove the fiberglass roof altogether (looks like it's removable) and make the worlds first and only topless, agged stepvan. How cool would that be?

Vehicle is sold where is, s is so inspect all pictures closely. There will be no satisfaction guaranty and no refunds. Buyer is responsible for transportation arrangements since the van does not run. I will require a $500 payment within 24 hours of auction end with the balance paid in full within 4 days of auction end. Please only serious bidders with more than 10+ feedback. I reserve the right to cancel any bids and end the auction early should the van sell outside of ebay.
