Meet Hester, ur 1956 Nash Rambler wagon. We purchased her through some car friends about ten years ago with the concept of making her as safe and reliable and comfortable as any of our daily drivers which meant completely and professionally rebuilding engine rear end, ront suspension, teering gear, adiator-- even rebuilding the FACTORY A/C! All the paint and upholstery was done by the previous owners and is in exceptional condition. Chrome is quite brilliant and paint is almost perfect. Tires are about ten years old but again, n great shape since she is always stored inside.windshield has a few Knicks but overall very nice, ide glass has some sanding scratches from careless paint prep but nothing broken. Hester has a 4 speed Hydramatic transmission which means she's very busy shifting when cruising in town. One thing she does not have is power steering and it is very heavy at low speeds. We have all documentation of work performed including tear down and floor replacement. We will miss this car but as we age it is time to "thin the herd" I understand that this car is quite rare, 've only seen 2 others, ver!
