1998 Panoz AIV Roadster

I have for sale my 1998 Panoz AIV Roadster. This is an actual production car...not a kit car! They were made from 1997-1999 and only 176 were built. It is the 43rd car made in 1998. This is one of the rarest colors produced with only a couple made. They are all built by hand and use many Ford parts so work can be done very easily if ever needed. The Panoz company is American out of Georgia and still makes vehicles. They carry most parts if anyone ever needs any. The AIV stands for Aluminum Intensive Vehicle because most of the car is made of aluminum to keep the weight low. It was shaped with the same technology that NASA used for the space shuttle.
This is my second Panoz to own and I am very familiar with them to answer most questions. It has a 0-60 time of 4.1 seconds. It makes an amazing sound like no other car I have ever owned due to the the powerful V8 Cobra engine and Panoz stockexhaust. It is very fast and gets a lot of attention. It is one of the most fun vehicles you will ever drive. It comes with both factory optionsoffered...the side wind guards and the upgraded pedals.I put in a brand new bluetooth Pioneer stereo system with remote, ockford Fosgate amplifier, nd a 4-speaker set of Morel speakers! Because the engine is loud, t is very difficult to hear the stereo while driving the car, o the stock system was worthless. I have all stock parts if buyer would like them too. It also comes with the official Panoz floor mats and car cover. I have had protective floor mats over the Panoz mats to keep them like new. This Panoz also has the leather cover that holds the zip in plastic window curtains to keep them looking nice. The top is in like new condition. The interior is in great shape, onsidering it is a 17 year old car. The tires are in great shape with a lot of tread and no need to replace anytime soon.
The official name of the car color is Cabernet (maroon...wine color). I am the second owner. The original owner put the custom ghost flames on the wheel flares and hood scoop. They are tastefully done and not obnoxious. Unless you are angled just right, ou can't even tell they are there. The car has a few rock chips on the front en, ront wheel flares, nd rear wheel flares. (there is really only one noticeable that is on the front nose...see photo...that created a small indentation and caused the paint to spider crack, utnot chip off). They are impossible not to have with the aerodynamics of this car. All Panoz Roadsters have the front tires kick up rocks to hit the rear wheel flares...that is the reason for the black protective material put on the rear wheel flare stock on every Panoz AIV Roadster. The previous owner put a couple scatches on the front rims (driver's side has 3-4...see photo, assenger side 1 and a small half). the rear rims are in excellent shape. Everything runs great and it comes with both keys, ey to the trunk lock, nstruction manuals for bothcar and stereo, riginal window sticker, ustom Panoz car cover and mats, nd a poster sized frame that the original owner had made for his car shows.
