Triumph TR6
Want a project to build a Triumph TR6 this car would be a great candidate, am not a expert on European cars but to the best of my knowledge this is a complete and original car. It has been setting indoors for the last 20 years.Car would require a complete restoration, will describe to the best of my ability:Mechanical: Motor starts and runs strong with good oil pressure. We bled the brakes and so the car stops as it should. Clutch engages and car can be driven, ut since it has sit for a long time clutch does slip some in higher gears. We replaced the fuel tank, uel filter and rebuilt the bottom of both carbs and they are working correctly, ut with the dual carbs I think some adjustments need to be made to run perfect. We also replaced the spark plugs and changed the oil, otor is sound and doesn't leak any fluid.Exterior:Car seems to have original (lacquer??) paintthat is cracked and faded, ould need to be re-painted. Body itself issolid around wheel wells and is straight. It does have some rust on the passenger side door and alsoon the passenger side rocker panel.Interior:Interior would need a complete restoration: seats tore, ash cracked, arpet shot, oor panels shot, convertible top goneetc...On the bright side the seat frames and cushions are good, ll gages present (electric, uel not working), loor pans/trunk pans goodObviously this car needs some work to get where you would want it, ut it is a solid start with a good body, rame and seems like a solid engine. Car is also basically complete. Ihave manypics, opefully this will help you see the condition. You are certainly welcome to see in person if possible, ust contact me to arrange.
