If your looking for a 1963 2 door British Sports Car to use for a run about then this car is perfect for you! This car was actually owned andmaintained by one man for the most of his life. The car started out being owned by his grandfather then was passed to him when he started driving to high school! He grew up with the car and became a pretty successful business man in our local area. The last he used the car was for a GrandOpening Promotion at his local MexicanRestaurantthis is where itwarranted the name "Flying Jalepeno"! Once the man passed his wife traded it to a local Used Truck Dealer and it was "stashed" in their "Inventory Barn" which was heated and cooled and itdidn't hurt nothing but for the years it sat their and between the elder years of the man that owned it, he car became in nonoperable situation when it came to us! We wentthrough he entire fuel system, nd brought the car up to its regularmaintenance and now the car runs, ides and drives as it should!
When these cars sold new they came in the port after you ordered and paid your $1500 in full for one. Once the car came in the port you picked it up and drove it over to the dealers garage which usually was just an office building and that is where the removed the cardboard out from in front of the headlights and prepped it for the road. To me these cars was intended for the sole purpose of being a "throw away car" at a cheap price! The only place where they jacked up is the British built a pretty damned good Throw away 2 seat sports carand they have lived ever since. BUT these cars are getting harder and harder to find due to that! Over the years they have been a lower valuedcomottie so theywasn't worth therestoration anda lot of people used them so their preservation flew right out the window! In fact their has been some pretty hard core stories told by many professors about how they drove them through their college years every since this one came in to our possession! So as these cars get more and more sought after they will climb in value but due to the fact of not being a high end car then buying one to do a full on restoration is well just absurd but can be done and many have done to do so and continue today! But to find one that has been preserved and is road ready with slight use will be a fine investment and actually a BLAST to Own! Parts are readily available andusually are very inexpensive! You can also upgrade parts such as the carb system, xhaust system etc etc to build more power and make it more road worthy if you choose to use it as a hobby as such! If you have never drove one of these and think that you might like one then your right! Their a little hard to get in and out of but youcouldn't find a betterrun bout for the inner city! The top comes off and goes in trunk within a matter of seconds BUT usually I never have the top on in the nicer days! Due to their smaller size they are very easily stored! So it works out to be about a perfect hobby at a low investmentprice! Not to mention When your rollingthrough he hills and around the curves hearing the roar of the 4cyl motor and the burst of the exhaust system shifting the manual 4 speed then it really makes you feel like a James Bond Jr! Justabsolutely a blast to drive! I do NOT have another one of these so when this one is gone its gone!Don't miss your chance to own an exotic British 2 Seats Sports car at this very low price! Thanks Once Again and Good Luck Bidding! ~McLouth Tire
