1965 INTERNATIONAL SCOUT 80 with IHdealer installed winch
Here is a little jewel of a Scout I recently found. This is a 1965 International Scout 80.
If you’re in the market for a 1st generation Scout, his is the one to have. First, this truck has always been stored out of the weather, and is totally rust free! Absolutely no cuts, atches or Bondo filler. The original floors are perfect.
This Scout has the rare International Harvester Hide-a-way Warn Winch option with heavy duty skid plates as well. I used the winch the other day to move a 1960 Cadillac. It works very well.
We’ve been driving this Scout all over town. It’s currently registered through 2016. All the lights work, ipers, orn, eater and fan, nd all the gauges work including fuel. It even has a CD player FM/AM radio in it. The Scout runs very well and the engine is tight, o smoke, nocks or taping. The past owner had the truck since 1973 and claims the milage is correct at 73,000.
The brakes are good, ell...for a 65 Scout, the clutch feels good and strong and the transmission shifts well. The Scout come with thousands of dollars in Service Records from over the years and it still sports all the original hub caps. The body is pretty damn straight, ut does have some small dents here and there. The past owner said he never took the top off, ut it does unbolt and come off, nd the windshield does fold down. I believe this is the last Scout year the windshield folded down. Its four-wheel drive of course and it works well too.
Comes with a clear 1973 Texas Title and is ready to play or restore to perfection. Thanks for your interest. And if you have any questions, speak Scout! Hawkeye 210-548-1310…the truck is located in San Antonio Texas.
