1949 Packard Standard Eight. This car is in very nice condition. Paint is nice but does have a few scratches here and there. Interior is excellent with no rips or tears. Headliner and visors good. Engine is the 288 cu in flathead 8 and runs great. The original 3 speed manual had been replaced before I got the car with a period correct Borg-Warner overdrive unit. There is a small panel with 2 toggle switches and indicator light for the transmission operation mounted to the drivers right below the dashboard, isible in the pics. Tires are Firestone wide whitewall bias ply. I had installed new rubber for the door sills and also had all new brakes put on (shoes, heel cylinders, oses) Chrome is excellent. The car does not have the original gas tank in it. There is a 12 gallon poly tank installed in the car and because of this the gas gauge does not work. Never really bothered me as once a month or so I would just fill up the tank. The original tank and some extra parts will go with the car. Radio and clock not working. Windows are clear and all work. Rubber is good. I had this car at the 2014 Monmouth County Concours show here in NJ. This is a great looking fun to drive Packard.
