Description |

This is a very nice little British sports car. The car runs and drives beautifully. It shifts and stops like it should. The suspension is nice and tight. The tires, ubes & liners have less than 100 miles on them. It holds excellent oil pressure, oes not smoke, urn oil or make any inappropriate noises. It has a working heater. The car looks and shows very nice. The interior is very nicely and recently done in black with white piping. All of the gauges, ights, lashers & instruments work like they should. The convertible top is in good condition and includes a full boot cover. The windows roll up/down properly. All of the glass is in good shape with no clouding or cracks. It has a new battery and recently rebuilt carbs as well as new points, ondenser, istributor cap & rotor. On the bad side, here are some faults in the paint, o it is not perfect. The wipers and horn do not work. I have notinvestigated either. There is no radio. There is a very small dent in the rear deck lid. The engine compartment & trunk could use a good detailing. There is paint peeling under the master cylinders where someone spilled brake fluid in the past. I will provide you with a can of matching paint for this purpose.
This is the rarer solid axle TR4-A. It is a very solid car with no rust. I purchased the car last spring and enjoyed it quite a bit this summer. It is a pleasure and very fun to drive. I currently have another TR4 ground up project so this one needs to go.
Now the unpleasant disclaimer stuff: This is a 40+ year old vintage British sports car. It is sold as-is. $500 deposit due within 48 hours. If you have less than 10 positive feedbacks, lease contact me prior to bidding or I will cancel your bid. Balance will be cash on pickup. PLEASE do not bid if you do not intend to purchase the car. The deposit is NOT refundable. Also, lease don't waste my time with scams, isting services or offers below $18K. The starting no reserve price is several thousand under Hagerty's estimated value for a 1967 Triumph TR4A in good condition. The car is garage kept in Charleston, V and is also advertised for sale locally. I will be happy to let you inspect the car if you're in the vicinity.
As a side note, make fairly regular trips to the Raleigh, C area. If you live in the vicinity of the I-77 or I-40 corridor we might be able to arrange for delivery in an inexpensive fashion.
If you're looking to invest in a nice vintage sports car that you can drive & enjoy in the upcoming season, his car is an excellent candidate. There is a clear WV title in my name. Happy to answer any questions. Thanks for looking.
