50 YEARS this month! This was left to me by my Great Aunt who was the original owner. At the winning bidder's discretion I will leave or remove the camper for shipping. I retrieved it from her carport last week. It has 90,684 original miles and comes with the original keys.
It is a 1966 Ford F250 Camper Special with a 4 speed transmission and 352 V8 with 208 Horsepower. The interior is original down to the floor mat and seat cover. The body is extremely straight with no prior accident damage. There is rust in the hood and a little under the hood around the left hood hinge. Other than that it is extremely solid. See the images of the undercarriage. This truck is an excellent restoration candidate or keep the patina and use it like it is.
We installed a battery, lushed all fluids, ebuilt carburetor, nstalled new points and condenser, ew plug wires and plugs, ew water pump and radiator hoses, ll new brake flex hoses and hard lines as needed. Runs and drives great now.
The camper definitely can be saved. As shown in the images my Great Aunt didn't like cooking as the stove and oven have never been used. All the original equipment is still present to include the curtains which are still usable and in good condition. It has a sink, tove, ven, hower, oilet, ce box, ardrobe, eating for 6 and a full size bed. The exterior aluminum panels are in very good shape and the interior is in good condition except a few spots of water damage.
Based off the data plaque on the driver's door jamb. 1966 Ford F250 Camper Special. Rangoon Red and Wimbledon White. 352 with 208 HP. 129" wheelbase. 4 speed transmission. 4.10:1 rear axle ratio Dana 70. Produced Feb 1966. Michigan Plant
Known problems:
Some of the plywood that the camper is constructed from has rotted away and needs replacing. The back door glass is broke. The heater core has a leak. The gas tank has a slow leak. The hood is rusty.
I can assist with loading and have a commercial address with loading dock, f needed. I can hold for one month after complete payment is received while awaiting shipping. The truck is located just outside of Tuscaloosa, L.
