Up for auction is a beautiful 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD, door crew cab, ong bed, WD. The exterior is in great shape. The interior is mint. No rips or tears in the upholstery. It can comfortably seat 5-6 burly men.
It is also is equipped with a 110 converter for your convenience in the cab. When you are on the road you can watch your favorite TV show or run your lap top. The power assisted brake package is a factory addition. You can tow just about anything with this work horse.
This truck drives like new. I would not hesitate to drive this across the country. The tires have 95% of their tread and are like new. 163,000 miles is break in for a truck like this. These engines are good for over 600,000 miles. There is plenty of power. There are no vibrations even at 80 MPH. It is a very solid truck with lots of life left in it. New, his truck would probably be in the $75,000.00 range.
The bed cap is matched to the truck (black) and provides lots of storage space. The bull bar and additional lamp lights make working in the dark a breeze. It also has yellow almond lights on the cab roof just like the big rigs! The roof rack is perfect for hauling deer back from the field. The air conditioning blows frosty cold and the heater will make you feel like you're on the equator.
It is a very cool truck. Look at the pictures! I was going to use this as our daily driver. We rebuilt or replaced anything that might go wrong. We were going to keep it onMiddleBassIsland(western basin,Lake Erie) where we have a 12 month home. There are no mechanics on Middle Bass. Everything was brought up to “like new” factory specs and had to be made as perfect as possible. Original New (not rebuilt) Chevrolet OEM parts were used.
Many of the parts on the truck were fine but we replaced them anyway. Again, e wanted like “new dependability”. Only the best for our “Islandtruck”. We spent over $6,000.00 spiffing the truck up:
1). New Alternator
2). New fuel pump
3). Stainless steel brake lines
4). New Pads and Rotors (all four)
5). New Radiator and hoses
6). All new belts
7). New Battery (heavy duty)
8). All new Fluids (brakes, ransmission, ifferential)
9). Tires have 2,000 miles on them (60,000 miles rated)
10). Repainted the hood/ but all other paint is original and shiny black
11). Added new roof rack, ull push bar, rush lights, eatherTech floor mats…
12). Engine mounts and frame bushings
All work was done professionally by A and R customs inClevelandOhio. They know our truck intimately and you are welcome to call them. Greg and his son Andy do great work (and they also build food trucks). They are located at10630 Berea Road,Cleveland,Ohio44102/ Phone:216-313-0892.
We planned on keeping this truck for a long time. Unfortunately, t is just too big for our needs. The cab was at the Island General Store but the truck bed extended out totheEast Point of the island(or so it seemed). We were going to name the truck Biggie Smalls or Darth Vader. We thought calling it the Death Star might scare small children. However, t has a nice ring to it…You can choose your own name for our delightfully big black truck once it is yours!
We are re-listing this because the first auction was won by a scammer. She claimed to be an oceanographer and she was out at sea (saving dolphins and plankton). We were fed a fake Paypal sheet that read we were paid. The money wouldn’t clear for 7 days but she asked if we could advance her $1,300.00 to pay for a shipping company to take the truck fromSanduskytoGeorgiaimmediately. She was buying the truck for her husband and wanted to give it to him right away for his birthday. She had to get the shipping lined up right away but needed us to send the money.
Per an e-mail from the scammer: “Pleeeease, ould we send the shipping money right away to get the ball rolling? It was a birthday emergency. Her husband had scoliosis (and bad breath) and not much longer to live! The truck was his reason to live! Could we please rush the shipping payment right away?!”
When we asked for her phone number to talk this through, -mail communication ceased. Perhaps she and Captain Phillips were taken by Somali Pirates who were bent on killing Sperm Whales!
eBay and Paypal confirmed it was a scam.
Anyway, atch out for scammers. Feel free to call Harry (my neighbor kid--well, an actually) who is selling the truck for me. His number is419-656-3689. The truck is located inSandusky,Ohio. Please feel free to come see it in person or send a friend to look at it. It is also for sale locally (so act now!).
$500.00 is due within 24 hours of the sale ending via Paypal. The balance is due in cash or a verifiable bank cashiers check. Sorry, o Paypal on the big chunk (unless you are a single, ot, emale Oceanographer…).
If you have zero eBay transactions please contact us before you bid or your bid will be cancelled (even if you are a single, ot, emale Oceanographer…). I don’t want poor Harry led astray!
Good luck! We look forward to giving our truck to a new home!
