This is a stunning ’48 with a complete, rame-off restoration with exceptional attention to every detail. The pictures truly do not do it justice…the paint job is almost too good for a flash camera! We have the whole build book from beginning to end. The actual car only has 38,646 miles on it with 18,000 of those being since the build was finished.
This car is powered by a Chevrolet Corvette TPI 350 with a 700R4 transmission built by Street and Performance. It sits on a powder coated chassis/floor pan with a Ford posi-traction rear-end, elco gas shocks, at Man Leaf and Sway bars, ustom roll pans and chrome 16 inch front/17 inch rear Boyd Wheels on like new Dunlops. It stops on a dime with front discs and rear drums.
The exterior sports a V-Butt windshield, cowled vent hood and frenched tail, ead and turn lights. All of this is covered in immaculate Deltron Black and clear paint that is of show quality. The doors handles have been shaved with remote and interior poppers.
The leather interior was done by James Carter in Arkansas and is clean and nicely equipped with power windows, ew gauges and all Lokar accessories including e-brake, enter console and shifter. An exceptional hidden AM/FM/CD stereo system with subwoofer in the salesman's boot top off the cruising experience (the rest of the trunk is hidden behind a false leather wall with the battery in it for easy access. Also a ton of extra storage.)
As you can see from the trunk picture, his car is consistently at the top of every show it enters and is a pleasure to drive to and from them. If you want a custom Mopar body with modern drivability then this is the car for you. Feel free to email with additional questions.
