Twin Carb Hemi: Restored "58" Facel Vega Typhoon.
This 1958 Vega FVS4 is fresh off the heels.
Said to be the beneficiary of a 50 mile old extensive restoration effort.
Rare twin carb model.
Three owner car.
These Facels ran early Chrysler Hemi V8 power and were among the fastest production cars of the day.
The 5.8 liter V8 lurks behind the ornate eggcrate grille, hile "pomegranate" paint contrasts nicely against the lower bright work.
Just a few of the designs highlights include the sculpted nose, anoramic windshield, plit fin tail lights and integrated exhaust tips.
Though "58" saw the introduction of available discs, his ones wire wheels hide big lockhead drums.
The interiors of these cars were-and continue to be-very special places to spend time. The tan Connolly leather and thick wool carpeting exude luxury, lso the large quilt patterned headliner-a very cool touch.
The painted "burled wood" dash is beautiful, ccented by the refurbished original jaeger gauges and fully functional switch gear. Small, houghtful details such as Typhoon script on the console and FV stamped into the brake pedal are to be found throughout.
The Hemi was also given a complete restoration, esulting in what is essentially a new engine, nd the odometer reflects the work, aving been rolled back to show 50 miles accumulated since the rebuild.
The Torque Flite automatic transmissions push-button gear selector is tucked away in the lower right hand corner of the dash but suits the style of the car to a tee. Also, ote the ergonomically shaped control stalks and full, our figure marking on the elegant tach.
Photos of the engine bay show the big gold Mopar sitting snugly under the long hood, ith all accessories and wiring presented tidily and as to be expected in a car that just received a full rebuild.
These Facel's remain near the top of the lottery lists, nd this example in particular is to be one of the best around, o bring your tailored three-piece and calfskin wingtips for this one.
This Facel is Sold as Is..Questions please ask..(303)817-0295.. Good Luck !
