You are looking at a 2006 Jetta 1.9BRM TDI automatic, unroof, eated seats. There is a lot of information about this car so read on. I purchased this car last winter to make a fun daily driver for my wife and save gas (diesel). I purchased it with 212,000 miles and it had a bad EGR cooler. While the EGR cooler replacement should have been the only thing replaced to fix it, caught the bug, t stayed in the garage for 3 months. Installed the following: Karma 150 hp kit to included upgraded turbo and tuner, olt Stage 2 camshaft with lifters and bearings, BRP full exhaust, ew timing belt, ew rear cam position sensor, ront and rear slotted brake rotors, tandard front rotors and new tires. Put one size bigger on the tires, t drives a lot better. This car was super fun, ad the economy plus the torque made this a blast to drive. Put about 15,000 miles on when the turbo feed line let go on the highway. This was my only other car so I had to get my wife a new car and this one waited to be fixed. KermaTDI warrantied the feed line and send me a new turbo to install. I checked all of the bearings (rod/main) and check the wrist pins. The rod and main bolts pulled were replaced with new. There was no damage so I started to R/R the new turbo. This started back in October, t’s outside and the weather prevented me from doing the repair in a timely manner. Now it is done and ready to be sold. I have extra parts that goes with it: a Mk5 Bentley repair manual, CAD diagnosing cable and software (if I can get it off my computer, riginal turbo. Other new parts include dual cooling fans, /C compressor, tarter and EGR cooler. I’m sure I’m missing a lot, ut will be included with the car. Got it back together and to me, t had a tick louder than what I remember. Pulled the valve cover back off and ran it with the cover off, he noise goes mostly goes away. Put the cover back on and it comes back. It is now smoking like a bad egr cooler but it maybe all the residual cleaner from when put it back together. Cleaned the intake again when it was apart and needs to burn off. I have not driven this car even to bring it up to operating temperature since it was put back together. I have no time to do anything, ’m pretty much done messing with car, urchased the car for $5500 last year and have over $4000 in new parts so do what you wish. You can get it back to the fun car it was or part it out and make money. Has 227,605 miles on it now.
