1930 Ford Model A 5 Window Coupe Project in Original Condition offered by Gas Monkey Garage! First produced in October 1927, he new Model A was designated as a 1928 model and was available in four standard colors. By February 4, 929, ne million Model A’s had been sold, nd by July 24, enry Ford had sold two million. By March 1930, odel A sales hit three million, nd there were nine body styles available. This is the very desirable 5 window coupe that is the subject of many Hot Rod and Rat Rod builds. This very good example was restored many years ago and still shows well.This fairly original Model A is solid with a straight and undamaged body (see all pics) including the rumble seat area! Now there are several cars that I always buy when I find them and clean, olid Model A coupe’s are one of them. When I saw how nice this one was I acted quickly to secure it and get it back to the shop. The exterior is fairly complete with most trim present and in good condition and the older respray shows well with minor nicks and scratches and some evidence of body work in the lower panels behind the doors. This would be a great project for Aaron and the crew to get running again and build here in the shop, ut with our schedule we just can’t and I know there are a lot of good folks out there that are wanting a super clean and solid Model A Coupe project but they don’t have the time to chase down every lead, o I’m offering it to you so you can build it the way you want! Due to our filming schedule we cannot perform any additional work or build it for you(sold as is/where is).This car had the original seat recovered with a nice tweed fabric and the interior is mostly complete making for an easy restoration to return it back to what Henry had in mind 84 years ago. The original 201 cid 4 cylinder motor & 3 speed transmission are present and the engine turns by hand, ut the fuel system was removed for cleaning and hasn’t been reinstalled to confirm mechanical operation .
