Description

You are looking at a stunning 1971 Ford Bronco 302. This wonderful little SUV underwent a frame off restoration in 2013 and is as near perfect as they come. The truck spent its entire life in Alabama before I purchased it in 2014 and re-located it to a climate controlled garage in Southeastern Pennsylvania. My family has used the truck for ice-cream runs, ummer cruise ins, nd jaunts around the countryside. It is a beloved collector piece that must be seen in person to be truly appreciated. The truck needs to go to a home where it will indeed remain uncut and unmolested.
The truck is a beautiful example of what an original Ford Bronco should be:
  • Uncut fenders
  • Numbers Matching 302
  • Original Ford locking hubs
  • 3 speed manual transmission
  • Arcadian Blue/Wimbledon Color combination
Halfway into 1971, ord switched from the already torquey 289 to the more robust 302ci engine. Topped with a rebuilt 2 barrel carburetor, t is plenty punchy for the lightweight frame and tub of the Bronco. This engine starts and runs effortlessly, nd the power it delivers is surprising. It seems a lot faster than Im sure it really is, hich makes it a blast to drive. The engine was removed, ebuilt, ainted, nd installed with a single Flo-Master exhaust kit, iving it that unmistakable 302 deep rumble. The engine and tranny have less than 5K on them. Clutch has tons of grab and a nice little squeak when you depress the pedal. The 3 on the tree shifts in and out of gears with one finger. I've put it in and out of 4 wheel drive in the driveway a few times, nd everything seems to engage and work properly.
A front brake booster and disc (front) conversion was added in February 2016. I felt that this was a necessary safety feature for the truck when hauling the wife and kids. Steering is still manual to give it that "trucky" feel. There is no AC in the vehicle, owever, he all lights, witches, an motor, love box, linkers, perate to perfection. I replaced the original factory radio with a Retrosound head unit (yes, t has bluetooth and a wireless mic). I still have the original radio with the truck. Goodyear all terrain radials were added last year and still have the nubs on them.
There is not any visible rust on this vehicle whatsoever. All panels align to perfection, nd the underside has been treated with Eastwood Rust preventative frame enamel. The Arcadian Blue paint is smooth albeit for a few small drips on the tailgate. Gate, ood, nd door hardware are all new from Tom's Bronco Parts. I also added a few nice touches like stainless steel dash knobs, teering column shroud (pictured), nd radio. I would rate the paint on the truck a 8 out of 10. When you get within inches of the panels, ou can see some small bumps, ut back away, nd it becomes a show winner. Speaking of winning shows, his truck has taken home first place in several of our local truck shows. all the chrome on the truck is dime bright, o rust, its, r dings.
I would give this truck an overall 9 out of 10. Mechanically, t is a 10. I don't think this is one of those garage queens that is never to be driven. I think the next owner should enjoy it simply by driving it and keeping it as pristine as possible. My family has a small business and I am selling the truck to fund the growth of our business. I will miss taking this truck out on the road and getting smiles, humbs ups, nd generally nice people wanting to get a close look at this time capsule.
I have additional pictures and can also provide video to serious inquiries. Please call me during daylight hours EST if you want more information (908) 455-1684. Thanks - Mark
