Up for auction is a true survivor 1964 Chevy Malibu SS 230 a true California Car (current tags/clear title), riginal Black Plate car!!!!!
This is a great project car - super solid with very little rust (around front/rear glass) - owned and loved by two families - originally bought in Concord Ca. by the mother of a family friend back in 1964 - the car passed to the son from which my brother and I purchased shortly before his death. The original 230 straight six is gone (dumped the motor after installing a stroked 350) I haven't checked the tranny to see if it's original, ut I highly doubt it. The car itself is truly a very solid car (see pics) and would make for a dynamite restoration project (very little metal work involved).
Interior is completely original minus the carpet - will obviously need to be reupholstered, ut you get an idea of what the condition of the car is.
Mechanically the car has not been started in over 7 years - the motor did have a fresh rebuild prior to the last time it ran. The electrical system was upgraded BUT needs to be completely redone - fuel/brake lines don't seem to be in bad shape, ut it is a 51 years old original car. The gas tank is ready to be removed and cleaned. I removed all the drum brakes to allow the car to roll around. There are a lot of original/new parts pieces that will go with the car.
I would consider a 1965 Fastback in the same condition as a trade - outside of that, wont consider ANY other trade.
There are no implied warranties of any kind - this is an as-is, here-is purchase.
Please don't bid if you are not serious about the purchase - the reserve is set based on the condition of the car - I also have a bundle of original documentation including build sheet, riginal invoice, tc for those thinking to restore this ol'lady. On Feb-16-16 at 12:04:50 PST, eller added the following information:

CORRECTION: The current title is a "salvage" title - but all DMV fees are current.

Though my description probably is not the greatest, his is an extremely solid car. The chassis has already been painted and looks great. I have lowered the buy it now price and the reserve. This car is worth every penny. Good luck.
