1966 Ford Mustang coupe- original code 4 silver frost with black Pony interior. Factory disc brakes, onsole, ally PAC.
This 1966 Mustang is a 2 owner car that I acquired from the original owners. It had been kept either in a garage or under a covered roof carport all it's life. Florida car - always in Florida. It runs perfect and is a blast to drive. If you are looking for a rust fre, nmolested, nhacked , olid car... That turns heads and can be driven anywhere... This is a great car for you.
Body and paint- my rating is a 9.0This mustang has original panels and has not been cut up or bondo'd up. Original color is ford code 4 " silver frost" which is a relatively rare color... Only around 5% built were this color. It has been re-painted recently with base coat clear coat and is very nice. There are no scrape, ent, lemishes. Under the hood and trunk are also silver frost. New weather strip, indow fuzzies, lass seals front and rear. Doors open and close as factory the way they should. No sagging hinges or mis- aligned strikers. Most bright work on the outside is replaced with new or in excellent condition. Some new parts include door handles, ear bumper, ipers, lass trim, ail light bezels. Unde, he car has origina, otally rust free pans.. Super solid .
Interior- my rating is 9.0This car was ordered originally with Pony interior and factory air conditioning with console. Original wood rim wheel. And original Rally PAC. New parts include headliner, arpet, ick panels, ash pad, auge carrier, oor panels, ront seats, nbsp;sill plates, oor handles, tc. I considered changing the steering wheel.. But it only has small crack area and is overall in great shape.. Since it was original, just replaced the center horn logo... Looks fantastic. Dash has been re- painted. Has aftermarket CD player, ut installed the right way. Has speakers in the package tray. All gauges and lights work. Windows roll up and down as they should. New fuel tank in rear, ith factory style plaid mat. I have the original rally PAC... It is not installed on the car... Or operational at this time... It will go with the car. (Pictured)
Mechanical- my rating is 9.5Original 289 number match motor was rebuilt with a little more up to date power- 30 over with new pistons, am, ifers, tc, tc. motor was built about 4 years ago and has been driven about 4000 miles since. Edelbrock intake with 4 barre, eadersDual exhaust, ew 3 core radiator, sd - HEI ignition... Detailed motor compartment... A/c lines are still there for anyone who wants to hook it back up. Transmission is Ford top loader 4 speed that shifts perfect. Rear end is 8" with 3:55 gear. Rear end was rebuilt when motor work was done. The motor is quite strong and power is noticeable over stock. The car has factory original front disc brakes and drum rear. All front end suspension was rebuilt with new ball joints, ushings, hocks, tc. The rear suspension is factory and the only part that has not been re-built / upgraded. Car sounds great, ut is not obnoxious. Wheels are ford magnum 500's with brand new 15" radial tires.Wheels are not brand new... But presentable and do not show age without close inspection.
Overall this mustang offers a totally rust free example that has been cared for since new. I have had a few of these and this is one of the best driving cars I have had. I love the silver color and think it is nice to not be - another red mustang!I am glad to answer and questions or help in any way .
