Evolve Motors is excited to offer up a piece of BMW's racing heritage with our 2001 M3 Convertible!
Ever dream of owning a track ready car that you can drive everyday, everywhere? Well feast your eyes on one of BMW's masterpieces, he M3 convertible. This car started out it's life as an Arizona car, here it spent a good part of it's life down south. Just from walking around the car and looking underneath, ou can see that this car was well cared for and rarely seen inclimate weather. The paint is in fantastic condition, howing no signs of body repair or repaint. The only exterior flaws we could note were a few (3-5) minor nicks and chips in the hood, o larger than a pencil tip. The 18” body color alloy wheels are hugged by a new set of Continental Extreme Contact tires.
The E46 trounces it's E36 predecessor in almost every aspect. How, ou ask? Thanks to a thrilling 3.2L DOHC inline-six that delivers a sky high 8,000-rpm redline, 33 horsepower, nd a torque curve flatter than Kansas. It also touts larger rubber, ace-inspired brakes, nd redesigned suspension from its older brother. It delivers 80 percent of it's maximum torque at 2000 rpm, nd maintains that level all the way to the redline! Don’t forget about the free-flowing, four-pipes-out-the-back exhaust system, hich give it that signature “M” trademark.
Out back, he M3 makes use of a variable M differential lock, incorporating an internal pump that applies hydraulic pressure to seven small clutches when rear wheelslip is detected. Combined with the M3’s Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), he M diff lock provides outstanding traction on slick surfaces-even when the gas pedal is drilled flat to the floor.
The interior of this car is as clean as the exterior. The well-bolstered M sport seats give outstanding support, hanks to their internal air bladders. Both passenger and drivers side come with 10-way power, s well as heat. Gray-hued gauge faces were new for '01, nd are easier to read during more “spirited driving.” Don't worry about missing your favorite song while the top is down, hanks to the 6 speaker Harmon Kardon sound system you won't miss a beat. We note only a few visible scratches on the ashtray/ storage compartment doors. It's also missing one small plastic “filler piece”, nly noticeable when the top is down. It does come with all tools in the tool kit, nly missing the fold-up hazard triangles. Also has original air pump in the trunk floor.
This was a $45,000 car brand new, nd it was worth every penny then. Don't miss out on your opportunity to “steal” a piece of BMW's history. This car has officially reached it's apex of depreciation, nd will only rise in value in the coming years, s all M series cars of later years are more sought after than any other performance cars in history.
What’s the new M3 like to drive? “A tach-pegging, ire-abusing, power-sliding, pex-hitting, ar-pleasing, ltra-precise high-speed thrill would be one way to describe it.”
