The nineteen sixty-eight GTO was the first year of the second generation body stylewhich featured a noticeably shorter wheelbase, ual hood scoop, olor matchedfront bumper, nd amazing Muscle Car look and feel. Making itthe most sought after Pontiac muscle car of the era. This particular'68 GTOhas beenin the same family for over 33 years. It has the Flambeau Burgundy exterior with the Deluxe Black interior. The drivetrain is a 400 cubic inch motor with a four barrel carburetor,4 speed manual transmission, ual exhaust, nd posi traction rear end. That combination, pecifically in the convertible body style, akes it an extremely rare find. The production numbers were somewhere in the seven hundreds.
The "B" in the vin number signifies thatthisgtowas manufactured in the Baltimore, Dplant. It has power steering, ower brakes, nd factory hood tach. Everything inside the vehicle works as it should. Thefuel pump, lternator, rakes, nd filters, re all new. It runs and drives beautifully. The radio is not original to the car. It has atrue 57,680 miles on itwith less than three thousand of thosedriven since its frame off restoration approximately fourteen years ago. The body is original withextremely shiny paintand brilliant chrome. There are PHS documents with the vehicle along with the "original" build sheet that came with the car in 1968.You won't find a better, ore perfect,car this rare.
