This attention getting, eautiful, 957 Porsche 356 Speedster Replica is an absolute blast to drive and has been barely broken in withjust 9080 miles!! That's correct, did say Replica, ut not just any replica....this Speedster was hand built by Vintage Speedsters out of California, he #1 builder of Porsche Speedster Replicas.They are a California company that has built 90% of all of the Porsche Speedster replicas on the market and their quality is top notch! Vintage Speedsters uses a custom built, ig welded 2×4″ 11 gauge steel frame. This rigid new structure retains the original VW pan designed by Dr. Ferdinand Porsche and integrates the largest frame possible. In addition the steering wheel is offset slightly just as it was in the original Speedster. While the original Speedsters are certainly a rare breed, hese Vintage Speedster replicas are rare in their own right with roughly only 3000 built.
This particular Ivory beauty was built in 2012 and purchased by a gentleman from Houston, exas. He loved classicsports cars and babied this little Speedster during his 4 years of ownership. It was strictly used as his weekend fun toy and was always garage kept andproperly maintained. While he did get it out and drive and enjoy it, t has under 9100 miles on it. Actually, he speedometer and odometer on this one are reading in Kilometers but I have done the conversion to miles. I have now owned 9 of these Speedster replicas and enjoy every moment I get driving them. All of the ones I have owned have been from Vintage Speedster or Beck and I personally prefer the Vintage. One reason is that I am 6 ft. tall and sit more comfortably in the Vintage built cars. Fit and finish on both is outstanding. I recently sold a Vintage Speedster to a very well connected car guru in Florida whotoo me that when he drove it to a meeting place with a bunch of his car buddies, ome of whom are Porsche Enthusiasts, hey all thought it was a real 356 andwere shocked when he told them it was a replica. As mentioned the body on this Ivory Porsche Speedster is in near flawless condition. With just under 9080 miles on it, t has always been pampered and detailed and the paint looks close to new. Body panel fit is fantastic and the doors on this car open and shut like a new Porsche. Everyone who looks at the car is very impressed by the fit and finish. The only thing I noticed that keep me from saying that it is absolutely perfect are a couple of very tiny rock chips on the bumpers that have been touched up and perhaps there are a few other extremely small rock chips I missed. All of the chrome trim, adges, nd glass look fantastic. Inaddition to theSpeedster emblems a Custom Coachwork emblem was also added to add to the authenticity. The Ivory color is an original 1957 paint color option and really stands out on this car and truly matches the class and great lines of this Speedster. Here is a walk around photo tour:


Although the best way to enjoy this beautiful Speedster is with the top down it is also nice to know that if needed this Speedster also has a great tan convertible top that is easy to put up or down as well as side windows that insert easily and a boot cover that give this car a very clean look when installed. In addition this one also has the full tonneau cover that is useful for covering the entire cabin or can be zipped out for the driver. The car is actually pretty cool looking even with the top up. The tan colored interior compliments the Ivory exterior beautifully and is also essentially flawless and absolutely beautiful. Simplistic sophistication is the best way to describe the layout of the interior. Very comfortable and supportive bucket seats look like new. There is a rear seat pad but I think it is more like a storage area then a seat. Door panels and carpeting look awesome. Dash is neatly laid out with all of the gauges you need to monitor the performance of the 1600cc dual carb air-cooled engine. All of the gauges, ights and turn signals are working correctly. Speedometer and odometer read in Kilometers. Beautiful period correct ivory colored banjo style steering wheel with Porsche center cap. If needed this Speedster also has heat for those cool fall drives through the mountains. Nice set of cocoa floor mats finish out the interior. This is the ninth Vintage Speedster I have owned so I knew what to expect when this one arrived. However, hen I got my first one I have to admit I was a little skeptical about how much fun it would be to drive. Well, fter driving the first one I was immediately a fan…With just under 9080 miles on this one, t drives as good as any of the previous ones and I continue to be a huge fan!!! I have driven plenty of high horsepower muscle cars, ewer Corvettes, MW’s and Porsches but these little Speedsters have truly won me over!! It has a serious fun factor to it unlike anything else. This Speedster has just under 9080 miles on the 1600cc, ual carb air cooled Volkswagen motor and the engine compartment is clean as a whistle. This particular speedster also has the upgraded 3:88 4-speed transmission shifts smoothly and takes this little roadster up to speed quickly with no problem and sounds great doing it! Upgraded front disc brakes feel great and stopping is a breeze in this lightweight roadster. This little roadster really handles the road well and to me feels like a Porsche 911 on the road. Maintenance is cheap and easy on this car and any foreign car mechanic should be able to do a valve adjustment and tune up every 3-4,000 Miles to keep it running great. In fact the previous owner indicated that he had a VW specialist perform a valve adjustment and oil change each year even though he was putting under 2500 miles a year on the car. The wheels look awesome with Porsche emblem chrome hub caps and are wrapped in a nice set of radials with tons of tread life left. Oil was just changed and we did a tune up so this Speedster is ready to roll the minute it hits your driveway! There is nothing this car needs but you in the drivers seat!!! Undercarriage looks great! Plenty of storage in the front trunk area so go ahead and take that weekend trip to the mountains or the beach…this will be the ride of your life. Make sure you leave a little extra time for all the questions and conversations you will have with folks who stop you.
