This is a 1957 Nash Rambler 4 Door Sedan with the inline 196 cubic inch six cylinder engine and 3 speed manual transmission. It is the base Rambler mid-size model of the Nash line up and the last year Rambler was to bear the Nash (or Hudson) name. In 1958 began American Motors Corporation (AMC) Rambler. This 1957 Nash Rambler was saved from the crusher and brought back to good driving condition. It runs and drives great with a very surprising smooth soft ride. At the various displays that we have been to. we get lots of questions what it is. It has been fun driving into our favorite Dairy Queen on a hot summer's night. We get a lot of lookers! The previous owners modifications to the engine. i. e. : electric fuel pump had been installed and other much more minor mods. The factory type fuel pump was installed and correctly plumbed to the carburetor and the vacuum system so the windshield wipers do work! Also. the carburetor was rebuilt and a tune up completed. Both the front and rear seats were reupholstered and a thorough cleaning was done on the car. I do believe the mileage is correct by the very limited wear on the clutch. brake and accelerator pedals. New tires installed and prior to the tires being installed the wheels cleaned and painted to match the body. New battery just installed! Numerous extra parts have been purchased. such as a instrument panel (used). headlight switch (NOS). front turn signal bezels (used). rear tail light lens (new). water pump and gasket to name the major items. All these items will go with the car. There is some of the remaining fabric from the re-upholstery work that is also available. There is no evidence that this vehicle has been in any major collision. This 1957 Nash Rambler is registered in Minnesota on vintage 1957 license plates. If this vehicle is leaving the state I plan on keeping the license plates.
