Description

Up for auction is a very. very rare numbers matching 1966 Triumph TR-4A with only 46. 49 miles on the odometer. I will make every effort to detail everything I know about the car so all interested will be fully informed prior to bidding. Background: I purchased the car from the brother of the second owner ( he purchased the car in 1974 ). The car was parked in the garage many years ago due to an ignition / electrical failure and there it sat until I purchased the car. I surveyed the car and ordered a large $$ amount of parts to get her back on the road but due to other projects I'm passing the this lovely rare girl on. Heritage: This is a true numbers matching car and I have a certificate from the Heritage Center in England to prove it is such. If you wish to see a copy just email me and I'll send it right over to you. The car was born in Signal Red. 60 spoke wire wheels and with a Surrey top ( sorry don't have the Surrey top / wish I did ). Mechanicals: The engine turns over by hand and being that the car was running when parked and stored in doors I see no major issues with getting her started. In preparation for her wake up I ordered the following NEW parts all of which come with the car. The following items are all NEW: Haynes repair manaul. owners manual. new points. condenser. spark plugs. distributor cap. rotor button. ignition wires. ignition coil. nbsp;valve cover gasket. oil pan gasket. oil filter. radiator cap. nbsp;radiator thermostat. all radiator / coolant hoses. all heater hoses. brake master cylinder. clutch master cylinder. clutch slave cylinder and some other items I just can' think of at this time. NOTE: Due to the car being of the road for so many years ( 10 plus ) the clutch and brakes are down on the car ( whence the new parts listed above ). The transmission shifts up / down and through all the gears effortlessly with no binding or grinding. She does roll freely but again no brakes at this time. Interior: Is in very good condition and I'll let the photos speak for its condition. NOTE: I do have the foot well kick panels and will get them put back in prior to pick up of the car. it's not shown but I do have the lower interior foot well kick panels ( which are in great condition ). Gauge: All gauges are correct for the car and are in pristine condition. Exterior: The car looks nice in the photos but I need to say the paint is some 30 years old and she is ready for new paint ( has scratches and checkering that might not show in the photos ). The last re spray was done in the early 80's and was done to a high standard as you will find no over spray on any of the chrome. nbsp;body seals or exterior gaskets. Again. the car does need paint or can be driven as she looks. The car sits evenly and squarely on the ground with no visible signs of leaning or sagging. The wire wheels are in good condition and are wrapped in Michelin tires. Soft Top: The soft top is brand new and proffessionally fitted and installed last month. Underbody: The car does have rust starting on the floor boards and some rust on the outer foot wells / inner fender wells ( she is 50 years old and British you know ). From what I can tell the frame looks good ( just my opinion as Im not an expert ) and the car has never been undercoated so she looks all original and unmolested to me. Trunk: The truck is solid to me. The car does comes with a spare tire and wire wheel. Note: the spare tire cover is missing but can be found on e-Bay. Title: I have a clear North Carolina title in my name. Offers: Yes I'm open to offers but please don't waste mine or your time with silly low ball offers. This is a true numbers matching car and will only take little work to get her back on the road. PLUS she comes with a ton of all new parts!! Overseas Bidders: Yes the auction is open to overseas bidders. The auction is open to overseas bidders and if you need to ship overseas try Schumacher Cargo Logistics shipping for fast free quotes ( http://www. schumachercargo. com/ ). In Closing: The above description is my observations and opinions and they vary from person to person so ask all questions prior to bidding. Again. not an expert just what I know and see so please ask any and all questions you might have. I'm not an expert and my opinion of the car may vary from yours so please look at the photos closely and if you need more information just email me. I know how hard it is to purchase a car online so please ask any and all questions you have prior to bidding or if you can come see the car for yourself ( I really encourage you to do so ) as I want the winning bidder to be satisfied with the car when it arrives. Due to the cars age and having no way to warranty the car I'm selling her "As Is'. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of auctions end.
