1971 Corvette Convertible – Estate Sale
Triple black with factory 4-Speed and air conditioning. This Corvette is numbers matching in good driver condition car (not a show car). My father bought this Corvette 21 years ago. I believe he was the third owner. He put on a new top, ew leather seat upholstery, ew clutch and installed a tilt-telescoping steering column. It has been stored inside a garage the entire time he owned it and was driven very few times (I estimate approximately 1,500 miles over the 21 years). This car runs and drives very nice and has a strong running 350 engine. Some things which need attention on this car are the vacuum lines which operate the head lights and windshield wiper cover. Both interior door handles need to be replaced and the radio does not work. The bushings in the shifter linkage should be replaced as it is not as tight as it should be. As can be seen in the photos the air conditioning compressor is missing, owever, he rest of the air conditioning components are present. The paint shines up nice and is very presentable however there are some scratches and blemishes which are noticeable once you get up close to the car (from 15’ away it looks like a million bucks). The other thing to mention is there is a small blemish in the top (as pictured). This spot was repaired but is still visible. The last thing which needs attention is the power steering line which has a slow leak. Please note the axillary hard top is included in this auction if purchased using “Buy It Now”. I will offer the axillary hard top at an addition cost to the winning bidder if the “Buy It Now” is not used. With a little elbow grease this car would make a very nice driver or be an excellent candidate for a restoration. I have described this Corvette to the best of my ability, f you have any other questions please contact me (403) 498-5687. I also have listed a 1969 Dodge Super Bee (also my fathers) eBay item number: 252323753632.
One thing to mention is I have sold a couple other classic cars from my father’s car collection into the USA. Bringing older cars like this back into the USA is extremely simple and free (no fees involved with US Customs). I am willing to help with transporting this car to the Montana border as I have a trailer.
