Up for auction is a very solid 1953 Chevrolet 2 door 150-210. I will try to describe the condition of the car the best thatI can. If at any time there are questions you may have, lease ask. If you have zero feedback and bid, he bid will be cancelled for obvious reasons. If you have negative feedback you must make a phone call to mebeforeyou bid. I have been selling on ebay forover 10 years. In that time I have sold andshipped cars overseas and just down the road from me.If you are bidding you are purchasing. These auction cost time and money.I pride myself with being personable and reasonable. All I ask is that youdo the same.Ok with all that part finished andwithout further delay...the 1953 Chevrolet!
First I will start with the GOOD.
This car has a clean and clear South Dakota title in hand.
Above average body, ots of solid steel. There is no rust through the trunk or floor except for one spot on the passengers side which is in the photo with my finger in it. The drivers side quarter is just paint peeling, o rust through. No Bondo in the body either! You could literally hit the floors with a ball peen hammer and dent the metal!I believe the undercarriage of the car was undercoated at one time possibly from the factory? I say this because I have seen vehicles from the 80's and 90's that have more rust and holesthan this one!
All of the glass is intact and has NO cracks or rock chips. All windows go up and down and function as they should. The front windshield has a little fogging on the very bottom.
All of the doors, ood and trunk open and close with ease.
The trim is mostly all there and intact not much rust or pitting. The passenger side trim has some denting just look at the photos. The rear tail lights are from a 54 Chevy.
The original key works the ignition AND the trunk. Most of the trunk locks have disappeared on these cars that have been around for the last 60+ years.
The tires and wheels ARE included in the auction and have great tread with some of the rubberknobs still on them. No dry rotting or cracking, hese tires were purchasednew last year, ounted and balanced($600 value). The passenger back has a little missing tread, still about 75% or more left. Front tires are 205/75R14,back tires are 255/60R15.The wheels may have a little surface rust here and there.
The interior is all there with the exception of not having afront seat. The door panels may be rat rod salvageable along with the headliner (the new owner can make that decision). Back seat is roached along with the groovy floor carpet.
Car rolls with ease.
The bad:
No engine or transmission (original 6 cylinder 3 speed car).
No brakes
There are two through rust spots; the passenger floor (see picture with my finger) and the passenger side lower rear quarter (these areboth the last twopictures).
It's 63 years old and has surface rustand some dings here and there. This is not a show car it's a project.A project that has a lot of potential that I just don't have time for anymore.
My daytime phone is 6o5-629-7274. If no answer please leave a message. I reserve the right to end this auction early because it is for sale locally. Please ask questions if you need more info.because I'm sure I'm forgetting something. I am also happy tohelp and assist withthe loading of the car.Good luck and happy bidding.
