Rare 1931 Buick in excellent condition has been stored in heated garage and not been driven in winter conditions in at least 60 plus yrs. Car has been stripped to bare metal and repainted NO RUST NO BODY FILLER WAS FOUND. Shines and looks great. Chrome is in very nice shape and has lots of shine, he pieces that didnt I sent out and had them stripped and redone ( they were the rear bumper, olts, and cowl band) headlight buckets, ront bumper, nd radiator etc already look great. All 4 tires and tubes have been replaced and only have about 50 miles on them. Wood spokes are all in excellent shape and have NO rot or deterioration to them. Rims are good and provide a very smooth ride. Brakes and parking brake all work well and as they should and provide great stopping power with very little effort. 3 speed manual tranny works well and shifts very smoothly. Engine runs strong and I had all new stainless valves installed they have only about 2 hrs running time on them. This has what was called the fireball 8 engine it was buicks high performance engine of the era and produces around 79 hp doesnt sound all that impressive I know but it produces a lot of torque and powers this car nicely had a very comfortable cruise speed of 50 mph and really pulls through hills with ease. Has a new 6 volt battery, tarter, lugs, ires, ap& rotor, oints, nd coil. New main belt, uel tank has been removed stripped relined and re installed. Radiator louvers open and close with ease and are controlled by the thermostat temp. Radiator is sound and no leaks. Chrome radiator cap/ornament is great. All glass is in great shape windows work even the windshield control works and opens it up about 2 inches, lass in headlights is good and they work too. Vents on the side of cab open and close properly. Now for the bad there is one exterior door handle missing the shaft is there and works but there is no hand grip. The interior has not been redone yet but is in pretty nice shape its not all ripped or missing stuffing in the seats or any issues like that but it is worn a bit and well its 85 years old. the fuel gauge looks great but it doesnt work. The headliner is not new it has been replaced though and looks nice but its not original. These are hard to find cars and do not compare to fords which were made by the millions and sold for in the $300 to $400 range back then. These sold for around $1100- $1300 and Buick only made around 40,000 cars at that time. I have only seen a few others for sale and they varied in price from the low 30k to upper 40k price range. To my knowledge I am the 3rd owner of this car the gentleman I got it from claimed his dad had bought it new. I have invested over 17k in this since I purchased it. I hate to see her go but due to life changes it must I truly believe that Ive done a fair and honest job describing it however if you have any questions please dont hesitate to ask or leave me a phone # and I can call you to discuss things further. I will not ship and I WONT TAKE ANY PERSONAL CHECKS. CASH AT TIME OF PICK UP!!!Thanks for looking
