NO RESERVE
Up for sale is an ultra rare 1976 Bricklin SV1, hey were only 20 1976 models built before the company was put into receivership. This car is the 4th of the 20. This car has ONLY 1769 original miles, hen I bought this car 15 years ago from the company (consolidated industries) that bought out the leftover cars and parts at the liquidation auction It had just over 400 miles on it. I have been driving it yearly and it runs, rives and stops fine. The history of this car is that is was on the line when they shut the plant down, t was finished (front fenders and hood extension installed) at the plant by consolidated and then shipped to Columbus Ohio to Byers to sell, yers was a partner in Consolidated and they were the marketing arm. they had several suntan colored cars that were not selling as fast as the other colors and since this one had been "roughed up" a bit in the warehouse they decided to customize it a bit, hey installed Trans am side scoops in the front fenders, edid the interior in grey and black, id some chrome plating on small parts, pgraded to air doors with electric compressor, tc. The car then sat in the back room of the dealership till 2001 when I bought it. I have driven it a bit every year just to keep it running and driving as you can see it only has 1300 more miles in 15 years and most of those in the last 2 years.
Condition is fair to good it is a good driver quality car, eep in mind the paint is 40 + years old and has chips and scratches. The seats are original but have been recovered in grey vinyl, he carpets are original and died black, hey could use a re dye after 40 years or replacement. (they do make aftermarket replacement carpets). the radio is there but doesn't work, haven't looked at it to see what the issue is as i don't normally listen to the radio in a car, he gas gauge is intermittent, ore than likely a bad ground connection on the tank. The wheels and tires are original, he tires and have lots of tread and don't show any crack (on the outside) but being that they are 40+ years old I wouldn't trust them at highway speeds.
The only reason I am selling is I have way too many cars and have to make some room to work . cars need to be driven and seen not sit in the corner.
I would highly recommend an independent inspection of this car before bidding, nce you bid it is yours and no refunds or exchanges. If you know any Bricklin people just ask them about Rick's silver 76, ost of them have seen this car at the Bricklin meets over the last few years.
There is a video of car at a show last year on you tube, bay wont let me link to it but if you search you tube for "the bricklin belle river" it will come up, t shot by maverick multimedia and the SST car show.
Buyers will require a $500 paypal deposit within 8 hours of auction end, nd the balance by wire transfer within 7 days. I reserve the right to cancel any bid for many buyer with any nonpayment or negative feedback. If you have less than 10 positive feed back contact me before bidding or you bid will be removed.
The car is listed elsewhere and if I get an offer I will give the high bidder at the time first right of refusal.
Shipping and transportation is solely the responsibility of the buyer. I will do what I can to accommodate them. The car is located, itled and plated in Ontario, just outside of Windsor.
