Great little classic sports car

at bargain price

A real find in an inexpensive collector's sports car. Last owned by enthusiastic Healey Club magazine editor. Looks, uns, nd drives wonderfully.

Excellent floor pan/chassis, o visible rust. Excellent body, hat appears to be mostly original paint (with a few spots with paint blended in). Excellent engine: 155-175 psi compression in every cylinder, 0 psi oil pressure when warm, ero smoke cold or hot. SU carbs seem perfectly tuned, tarts instantly, dles well, ccelerates briskly, oesn't miss a beat.

Transmission works well but is a bit noisier in first gear than average (ALL Sprite transmissions are fairly loud in 1st due to being a straight cut gear). The consensus of expert opinion is that if not 'pounded on,' it could last for years. Other gears are quiet, ood synchromesh, oesn't pop out of gear. Since it works well, ouldn't see replacing it. But, ust in case, m having an identical transmission professionally rebuilt and will include it with the sale. Giving the next owner the option of simply keeping it 'in case,' selling it (worth over $1,000), r swapping it with the current unit (smart move).

The rest: seats and carpets are new, op and tonneau are both very good as are the side curtains and top frame, as new seat belts, ew shocks, ll original gauges work as do wipers, ll lights, orn, urn signals, iring harness doesn't appear to have been mucked up, ngine is clean, nd gives no sign of oil leaks. Exhaust is quiet, ires are near new, ll original chrome is very good, ngine bay and trunk are very clean, as spare wheel/tire, ack and lug wrench. And am including a full workshop manual.

Dashboard padding/trim is pretty close to perfect (remember, his IS a 52 year old car), ven has its original radio.

And as an Austin Healey, i>even amongst the least expensive of the marque, /i>it is a genuine collector's sports car capable of giving many years of reliable use. AND, uick shifting, recise steering, xcellent throttle response, ure braking, nd real classic style.

I put a very low 'buy it now' price especially when you consider the included freshly rebuilt transmission, he very good weather equipment, ew interior, xcellent floor and body, ery presentable paint and chrome (no pitting or peeling), nd the driving experiences a new owner can have enjoying winding back roads.
