1959 Pontiac Laurentian Safari Wagon. Very rare car built for the Canadian market on an Impala frame with similar styling to the US Pontiac Bonneville's and Catalina's. Complete car less motor for restoration. Very rare model. Selling with No Reserve to the highest bidder. Can ship anywhere.
This Laurentian Safari is in very re-storable condition. The body is in great shape with very minimal rust. It will require floor pans as most un-restored GM X Frame cars do these days but I have seen far worse than this and they are readily available as they are the same as a 1959 Impala wagon. The frame and drivetrain is the same as a US specification 1959 Chevrolet Impala and it would have originally been fitted with a Chevrolet motor, ither a Small Block or 348 Big Block. You could probably decode the VIN to establish which if you wanted to restore it to original specification. The body-styling is very similar to a US Bonneville or Catalina. All of the chrome trim is with the car including the 2 pieces missing on the tailgate, hey just need re-attaching. The lights are missing but are the same as 1959 US specification Pontiac's so easily sourced. The interior is complete and in pretty decent shape. The headliner is all there with only a little damage. The seats are in unbelievable condition, hey require cleaning but have no rips or damage at all and it is still the original material. It will require a new floor carpet which is easily available as it is the same as a 1959 Impala wagon. It will need a windshield as it is cracked but this is also the same as a 1959 Impala. All parts required to restore this very rare Pontiac wagon can easily be sourced as they are shared with other more common GM cars, t would make an easy restoration project. You would never see another one. It has a very nice look to it with the natural ageing of the paint giving it that much sought after'patina'. This is a very nice original '59 wagon.
It rolls and steers freely and all tires hold air so can easily be loaded onto a trailer.
