Car is advertised locally for $5500 which is the price to end the auction early.

Purchased May 2006, MW dealer/specialist serviced every 5K miles at Bloomfield BMW in North Jersey or Eurotek (BMW specialist) near East Stroudsburg PA. Original paint has a rich/deep shine, potless interior, ll original no aftermarket parts. In the past 25K miles, any wear and tear parts have been replaced and the car runs very strong. The shift linkage is very tight (not sloppy) with no grinds or slips. There are no squeaks, reeks, attles, humps. The car has always been maintained well and if something needed to get fixed, t would get done. I am confident this could be driven across the country tomorrow without any issues.

Overall Condition

Motor, ransmission, uspension, nd brakes are all solid and have been maintained well. Oil just changed last week with 7 quarts 5w/30. A/C blows cold and heat works great too. The check engine light is not lit on the dash. All power windows, unroof, nstruments on dash, ights etc work fine. The interior/exterior of the car would be considered nicer than most remaining E46's on the road. Cosmetic defects are driver's seat and rear bumper paint chips touched up as elaborated below- very typical for this age car. This car drives like it has 30K miles and I invite anyone looking for this model to drive this after others with less mileage. The engine pulls as hard as it did when new and virtually every moving mechanical part on this car has been replaced. A more complete list of recent repairs is shown below.

Exterior

The body straight as an arrow on every panel. The paint on the body still has a rich shine to it and there no rust issues. The car was always parked in a garage and it looks that way. The exterior is about as good as you will see for an original 2003. The rear bumper cover has been touched up in areas that have chipped/cracking paint in a couple spots. There are the typical micro-sized rock chips on the very front/rear bumpers etc visible in direct sunlight, ut no dents or body damage. The car was parked in a very tight garage in North Jersey so there were three minor incidents over the years...front headlight was replaced in 2007, ide mirror was knocked off in 2011, nd the rear bumper cover was bumped/cracked in 2012 (and then subsequently replaced/painted by a shop). All of these were very minor but mentioned for the sake of disclosing everything. The car overall gets compliments for how well it looks and I would say it looks better than 90% of E46's I see on the road.

Interior

The interior of the car looks new and has been well kept, utside of the drivers seat which has the normal E46 issues from getting in and out (drivers bolster and seat split at the seam). I patched the split seams with black vinyl tape and it doesn't bother me but another person could opt to get it recovered or a seat cover. The passenger seat and rear seats look like they have never been sat in, ith no wear marks, o tears, o fading. Everything in the interior is OEM stock, ncluding the factory BMW radio. The sunroof works as it should (no leaks or electrical gremlins etc). The shift linkage is very smooth and all electrical items work. The car comes with the full size spare, nd jack in the tool kit.

Mechanical

In the past 25K miles, umerous repairs (>$5K) all with OEM BMW parts done by the dealer or BMW specialist. The entire suspension (struts) have been completely replaced as normal wear and tear maintenance. Some of the recent work is as follows:

New Intake boots (2) @ 160K miles ($150)

New DISA valve @160K miles ($250)

New driver's door handle lock actuator @161K miles($150)

*the door lock repair was DIY and (of course) the tabs broke on the driver's door airbag harness connector when unplugging, hich was not noticed until the door panel was re-hung. So the driver door airbag will not function until the harness tabs are replaced which will be included with the sale(all of the other airbags work fine).Very minor but worth mentioning. Just have not had a chance to pull the door panel back off yet. If the car sells for price to end auction above I will take care of this prior myself...takes about 1 hour and I have the part.

New brake pads - all 4 corners @152K miles ($750)

Clutch @ 145K miles ($1600)

Struts (all 4) @ 140K miles ($900)

Coolant system overhaul (radiator etc) @135K miles ($900)

New AC compressor @135K miles ($850)

New timing chain tensioners and waterpump @ 125K miles ($1100)
