1958 ISETTA
This car came out of an estate in Oregonfrom a large museum. (see pic). It was built 10 years ago as a fascinating display around car's like John D. Rockefeller's 1931 V12 All Weather Cadillac Phaeton and many movie star cars. The family indicated this car got more interest than any of the two hundred cars.
The body is straight with nice paint and fit. The underside has solid floor pans. The factory sunroof isfunctional and nice. The chrome is excellent. The rubber body parts are soft and correct.
The interior follows the paint scheme. It is done to a high standard. All the interior is very well done.
This is powered by a 4V 750 water cooled Honda motorcycle engine. It has a 4 forward speed transmission with no reverse (like a drag car). It had not been operated in many years. We drained the stale fuel and filled it with racing fuel. Installed a new battery and spark plugs. It took some time with starting fluid to keep it running. It cleared out and the cool straight pipes have a sound from the drags. It broke loose the rear tires but we didn't try to pull the front wheels off the ground.(It probably won't).This was driven only 300 feet. It still needs some re-commissioning if it is to be used for exhibitions or driven any distance.
This includes a display BBQ. Has the fake hamburger, patulas, acing slicks, luminum alloys, oke cans and spoiler. It lights up inside by rechargeable batteries.
This has polished aluminum alloys and nearly new tires. Includes a polished spoiler, nd wheelie bars. This is a fascinating museum car or possibly incredibly interesting exhibition piece at drag strips. One thing is certain, herever it is shown, t will draw crowds. This is sold "NO RESERVE".
