Based on an upgraded FordF550Super Duty chassis, his 13,000 lb beast is power by a 6.8 liter gas engine mated to a five speed automatic transmission and4WDsystem. But that's just the start of what make this vehicle tough.
The KNIGHT XV is anarmoredvehicle and not a vehicle that has been "uparmored". This means that unlike mostvehicles that areuparmoredafter-market, he KNIGHT XVis manufactured from the ground up using top-grade armoring materialsincluding ballistic hardened steel,ballistic fiberglass for the fenders and bumper, nd up to 64 mm transparent armor glass. Even the grill is armored. It also has a Ballistic Run-flat tire system consisting of 40" tires with specialized custom designed and engineered 20" rims that utilize forged 6061 aluminum - the same used on commercial aircraft landing gear. Coupled with its ballistic run flat tire system it creates the pinnacle of safety in tire and wheel system exceeding anything on the market today.
