For sale is a 1971 Buick GS455, lack on Black, ith a Big Block 455cid V8 and TH400 Automatic Transmission.
The car has a lot of new parts, resh paint, nd new wheels, ots of suspension and power modifications. This car rumbles, nd breaks the tires loose with ease.
Car is originally from Orange County, alifornia, nd has original California blue plates from 1971, ealer frame came with the car, nd appears to be original (this is an Orange County dealership which closed down a few years back, ut was operating in the 1970's). Clean California title in hand, he registration is current, ut the tags are not since it's not insured at the moment; the car is stored at my warehouse here in Las Vegas.
Engine is a 455cid V8, ith Stage 1 heads (larger valves), delbrock manifold, nd a Demon 750cfm four barrel carburator. New gas tank has a drop in sump pickup from RobbMc Performance (1/2" diameter), ull braided AN lines lead up to an upgraded TA Performance fuel pump. Lightweight pullies and electronic Spal fans for that extra bit of horsepower.MSD pro billet distributor, SD Digital 6AL ignition, SD coil, SD plug wires.Hooker tubular headers, nd a custom magnaflow dual exhaust give the car a nice rumble, hich turns into a roar with a push of the gas pedal.
The entire cooling system has been replaced with a 3" thick upgraded unit from BeCool. All new hoses and thermostat, ew coolant and flushed last year. Also has a Derale transmission cooler with AN braided lines installed behind the front grille to keep the TH400 cool. The car has been converted to electronic dual Spal fans with a custom shroud. The Spal fans run on their own relays, ith a temperature probe.
The rear end is a freshly rebuilt 3.73 posi-traction differential, he TH400 transmission was rebuilt and has a B&M shift kit installed. Shifts crisp, nd takes off sharply.
Rims and tires were just installed, hey're staggered diameter (18" on the front, ith 245 width tires, nd 20" rear, ith 285 width tires), ims and tires have about 200 miles on them. The car is lowered on hotchkis springs, ith rear cargo springs to give it a nice rake. 1" thick front and rear hotchkis sway bars keep the car planted in turns.
New parts include a new alternator, ower brake booster, ew fuel tank, nd power steering pump. Pretty much everything else has been upgraded, asically a new car.The entire fueling system, nd cooling system, ave been replaced with upgraded top of the line parts; this includes components, ines, oses, nd fittings.
Interior was redone about 6-7 years ago, eather steering wheel from Grant, nd a GS edition autometer tachometer. Schroth clip-in harnesses keep you in place as you roar around the city.
Car runs great, ery fast, nd handles well, as sticky BF Goodrich G-Force 2 tires.
This is a purpose built car that has been built right, t has a fiberglass hood, hile all other panels are original. Locks are re-keyed to use one key for the entire vehicle.
