Selling a really clean 1940 Chevrolet 2-door Special Deluxe. I am selling it on behalf of my family friend who is retiring and needing to downsize. It has quite an amazing history; See below note from seller -
The car was sold new in Montana. When the guy that bought it new died, he original salesman bought it from the widow and gave it to his son as his high school car. I bought the car from him in 1959 after he graduated from high school. I’ve owned it ever since. I courted my wife in the Forty (as we refer to it), e went on our honeymoon in the car, nd brought our first daughter home in it from the hospital when she was born.
It has been meticulously cared for and always stored in his garage. It starts right up and runs really strong. Drives great, hifts through the gears smoothly.
The following was done when it was reconditioned in 2002:- New paint- Rebuilt engine: valves ground, ew rings,cylindersre-bored, rank turned- New wiring loom- New Hampton Coach interior- Rear end gears switched to higher ratio for freeway driving - Wheels changed from 16" to 15" for a smoother ride- New brakes (drums all around)
Since thereconditionhe has put less than 1000 miles on it.
This car is being sold with NO RESERVE so please bid with confidence.
Feel free to reach out to me with any questions - Zack (818)606-8386
Thanks and HAPPY BIDDING!!
