1951 Dodge Wayfarer Roadster rare, low mileage

So, t age 73 my wife is correct, t IS time to part with some of my toys. Actually it is an easy choice. If I don't sell now, t such time as I am no longer here, he cars will be out front with a huge FREE sign. I know my wife.

If this is the type of vehicle you have an interest in, t will be an easy choice. This is a garage kept car with low original mileage. It has fluid drive which basically is 3 speed standard with a clutch however you can let the clutch out in gear at standstill and it won't stall out.

There were very few of these cars built. In 1949 Chrysler Corp introduced the DodgeWayfarer as an inexpensive vehicle for young couples. It was a very basic car. Indeed it is truly a roadster and has no rear seat. They were made for 3 years, 949-1951. The last year less than a 1000 of these roadsters were built.

Everything on this car works as intended. All gauges work, he lights work, il pressure is good, he car starts and runs fine, irectionals work as do electric wipers.It has been garaged indoors and taken out infrequently. The top and seat covers were replaced otherwise the car is original including mats on floor and in trunk. This car is not a show car, t is a fun car. No dents, he chrome is good, ar is rust free as is undercarriage. I drive it to work from to time or to a car show, therwise my wife and Itake it fora ride.

I have a very reasonable reserve on the car. This is not about money, would like to see someone have this car to enjoy for years to come. Then again, have no need to give it away.
