Description |
---|
1966 International Travelall. Same owner for last 20 years when we acquired it. It is the Custom 1000A 2 wheel drive version that has the torsion bar front suspension, 04 V8, Speed transmission, actory power brakes, actory air conditioning, nd the station wagon rear tailgate with power window.
The rear tail-gate is "Rust Free" and solid with glass in great shape too. The power window motor needs to be repaired. The wheels (4 on car and the spare for 5 wheels) were powder-coated grey and new Goodyear tires installed by previous owner. Recently installed new master cylinder, ront and rear wheel cylinders, ew brake shoes, ew brake lines and hoses.
We put in a new battery and ran a compression test. All 8 cylinders are an even 150 PSI. Oil is clean. We just replaced the distributor, oints, lugs, lug wires and coil. Engine starts right up and runs great!
Clutch works great and transmission shifts smoothly. Everything bumper to bumper is as original, aking this a great restoration project, r a terrific rat rod driver. Glass is in excellent condition all around. Very little rust.We willbeinstalling a cleangas tankwith a new sending unit this week.We will be installing newdual exhaust system too.
We decided to do the work (and spend the money) to make this great classic run and drive! Look over the pictures and don't let this one get away from you. Selling off about a half dozen classic carsto make more room in the shop for new equipment.
