1965 Olds Cutlass F-85 convertible is an awesome "everyday driver" that is just some elbow grease away of being show ready. I purchased the vehicle in 2006 from the family of a collector and proceeded with a complete engine tear down and overhaul. I have the mechanic's log and photos for review. The car was appraised at that time for insurance purposes and was valued at $25,000 - I have that document for review as well. We have driven the car regularly on weekends but have only put about 3K miles on the new engine. It drives great and is solid and dependable.
This Cutlass is almost 100% original down the the AM radio in the dash. The mechanic who overhauled it makes his living working on airplanes so everything is done right. He said, he best thing that ever happened to this car was that it was never owned by a kid. There is no rust and the body is almost perfect except for on minor ding on the drivers door. It's original Olds 330 V8 is powerful enough and the car has plenty of get up and go. It drives straight and true.
