1937 Jaguar SS 100

I have spent the past year and many thousands of dollars restoring this stunning car. I have owned many exotic and vintage cars, ncluding five kit cars and this one just works on many levels. The restoration includes: Rebuilt 1776 cc engine (built by small, ndependent VW shop with 45 + years experience). New alternator, arburettor, xhaust, istributor etc. Less than 500 miles. Oil and filter screen just changed after running in period. New wiring harness. All new brakes – wheel cylinders, hoes, aster cylinder, oft hoses. New, listening paint. New tie rod ends. New, ighly varnished wood dashboard. Firestone tyres. No, he doesn’t have wire wheels, ut I prefer the look reminiscent of mid-50’s Morgans (one of which I owned). The interior is in good shape, o rips or tears in the seats. She is built on a 1971 VW chassis. Clean title in hand. This car is an absolute joy to drive, ccelerates quickly, andles superbly in tight corners, teers straight. Lots of “thumbs up” and always gathers an admiring crowd. I am not happy to be selling her, ut we’ve decided this is a good time to get back into ocean cruising, o are going to “head south” soon. I shall miss this car, ut hopefully someone who understands how classically British this particular replica is, ill enjoy it as I have.
