This is a 1959 Morgan +4 right-hand drive 4-seater in the most classic color: Westminster Green (a.k.a. British Racing Green). Half of its life was spent in the UK homeland, here it was restored in 1980 and accumulated 28,600 miles, efore the current owner bought it in 1983 and shipped it to California. In 1984, he stock Triumph engine was rebuilt and the transmission was overhauled. The car has been garaged in Southern California for the past 20+ years with the current 64,080 mileage.
Recent restoration items (spring 2016):
- Carburetors (both rebuilt)
- Battery with guarantee
- Door hinges
- Black leather upholstery + hood frame cover
- Steering wheel
- Wipers
- Turn signals
- Brakes
- Moss 4-speed gearbox
- Suspension
- Wood floors
- Body metal (nothing bent)
- Windshield
- Lights
- Horn
Overall this is what is referred to as a “driver quality” car -- it looks great, s very usable, nd is an incredibly fun car to drive. There are some signs of its age on the body but no major damage. It's perfect for someone who is ready to enjoy a fantastic classic car as-is or someone looking for a project (cosmetic restoration, arts updating, tc. -- note that Triumph engine parts are very easy to obtain).
