One of the coolest cars I've ever known! This sleek, exy cruiser left the dealership March 12th, 966 with power windows, ower bench seat, limate control, uto-dimming headlights, nd other amazing Cadillac luxury. Not sure how well the climate control works, nd the auto-dimmer has been bypassed, ut virtually all the other electronics on this 50 year old classic still work!
Last summer it got a gloss black plasti-dip paint job and airbags on all four corners with new shocks, ew ball joints, ew belts, nd new alternator. Almost everything else is original!!
The gloss black paint is pretty sweet, ut it unfortunately shows scuffs and scratches pretty easily and the paint underneath (car before paint job pictured) wasn't without it's dings and scratches to begin with. There's certainly the occasional dent or ding, ut as you can see, he overall car is still pretty darn straight and looks great from a short distance. There's some rust in the usual places like around the fenders, nd there are a few spots in the trunk that are rusted through, ut the interior floor boards (pictured) and other structural parts are solid. The chrome is in really great condition and the hub-caps are also very nice. Interior is pretty amazing looking with imperfections here and there. It doesn't have a headliner, nd the chrome trim is all there and in good shape, ust off right now waiting on a new headliner.
Known issues: 1) It needs a new battery. There's a battery drain somewhere and I just haven't gotten around to tracking it down, o I just disconnect the battery when not driving, ut I think it has taken its toll on this battery. 2) The connections around the tank for the airbags leak and I think they just need to have new Teflon tape put around them to seal. Again, just haven't gotten around to taking care of these. Because of this, he car will be back on the ground after parking for a bit, nd the compressors turn on more regularly while driving and make the belts squeal. 3) It likely needs a carburetor rebuild (or new one). I have to put some gas into the carburetor to get it started for the first time, ut after that it usually starts right up the rest of the day. So, have been able to get it running for the very rare occasions I've taken it out, nd it actually runs quite well, ut it'll need a little TLC for someone who wants to enjoy it more often.
Hopefully I've described it accurately enough. The car just oozes class, t's so much fun to drive, nd has a great history with original owners manual, rotect-O-Plate, nd brochure. Always gets looks and compliments, nd is truly a testament to the quality and innovation found in old Cadillacs. It's time for someone else to enjoy this beauty as much or more than I have, nd I'm offering it atNO RESERVE!!That's right, ighest bid takes it, o serious bidders only!!
