According to the cars trim-tag affixed underneath the dashboard, he new Corvette was finished in the rare combination of exterior color Ermine whit, nd trimmed in red; just like it appears today. The engine powering this Roadster is the L79-type, 50bhp small-block 327 cubic inch V8, nd is mated to the desirable, -speed close-ratio manual transmission and positraction rear end. This is a matching numbers car except transmission that was recently replaced this march with a date correct transmissio, he original matching numbers transmission will come with the purchase of the car.
This car has been restored from frame up and driving it has been made more enjoyable with the addition of air conditioning, ower steering, odern stereo with cd player and amp all this while keeping the original look and style of the era. The Corvette is equipped with knock-off style alloy wheels; as well as dual chrome tipped exhaust system, hich also ads to the wonderful sound of the V8 engine. This Ermine White Corvette has been repainted at some point, nd presents beautifully throughout. Inside, ne finds the classic, ood-rimmed steering wheel to hang onto while taking sharp corners. New carpeting was installed along with sound deadening material for a quieter ride.
Recently serviced, his beautiful 1966 Roadster is ready for spirited drives on rallies or weekend cruises and should be powerful enough to satisfy your straight-line “need-for-speed”! All improvements can be brought back to showroom original if desired. This corvette has won first place trophies and plaques at local car shows it is a real head turner in sound and looks. These Michelin tires were on the car during the photo shoot and were showing age. The seller has replaced them with a brand newset of Hankook white walls just this past week.

The convertible top shows as new.





The real Corvette knock off wheels, dd at least another $4000. to the value of this classic.

The engine compartment is very clean.

In 1966 The 427 big block option became the most desired engine, o small-block offerings

were cut from five to two for 1966, /strong>

and only the basic 300- and 350-bhp versions were retained. Both required premium fuel on

compression ratios well over 10.0:1, nd they didn't

have the rocket like thrust of the 427s, ut their performance was impressive all the same.

As before, oth could beteamed

with the Powerglide automatic, he standard three-speed manual,or either four-speed option.



The air conditioning is a unit from Old Air.









The interior is very original except for new carpeting. The seats are their original leather.They show some aging, ut are still in good condition. This is a very nice example of a66 Corvette convertible.


The mileage is said to be original. we were actually able to pull up an Auto Check report that does not go back to thebeginning of the cars history, ut it does show 3 owners and the mileage to be correct.





The original clock actually works.





Wanting to keep the car as original looking as possible, he CD changer remote was hidden under thedash and the unit is hidden in the back.
