This 1970 convertible was built on the very first day of production, an 5th. It's car 133.
This is the real deal born with engine and drive train. For the first few days the VIN was stamped on the side of the block down by the oil filter. THIS CAR WAS FACTORY AC.
The car was found in a KS field in the 80's and a frame off was done at that time (1989-90). It has one repaint which looks to be a perfect match. Same owner had it until 2014 when I purchased. I have a bunch of documentation.
These early C-3 big block cars are undervalued at this time and will be highly sought after in years to come.
This car is NOT a Top Flight show car. It is a very respectable driver with the DNA and perfect frame to be a show winner if someone wanted to take it there some day.
I have a correct date coded hard top and there are a ton of things on this car that are still original and have the right dates if that is what you are looking for. If not it's still nice to know. I will not list all the items here. If you are a serious buyer then contact me for all the details you want. I do not have to sell so bottom feeders don't waste your time. Folks that know classic Corvettes know the potential here.
I'm moving on from the classics by choice. The car can be viewed by appointment in Oklahoma City at a private car shop. One of my friends is a 400 point Master NCRS judge and has known the car for 20+ years. I can arrange for him to be there if someone wants.
When I bought it I did all maintenance from bumper to bumper and have detailed records/log. I also bought the Year-One Rally 17" rims and new Firestone tires. They really update the car and look awesome. I put in new front springs (550's) so it lowered the front just a bit for a great stance. I of course have the original 15" rims, ings, nd caps. For whatever reason the prior owner did not put the A/C stuff back under the hood so it's missing the compressor. (he was deceased so that will never be known why)
A first day production, ully numbers correct (born with components) Big Block, ulsanne Blue, lue Convertible, speed, ith dated hard top is not going to come around often so think about that and good luck. Thanks for looking.
Payment by Wire, ert Bank Check, r Cash. A personal check will be held until cleared if a local bank is not used
