And at the back of the car, second fresh bumper hangs traditional taillights between a third “SS” emblem and bright stainless exhaust tips
Glance under this Chevelle’s sculpted hood and you’ll find a 454 cubic inch LS5 big block V8 that boasts an estimated 260 net horsepower. Keep in mind that the horsepower ratings in 1972 were listed as net horsepower as opposed to previous years where the gross horsepower was listed. That air/fuel mixture travels into stock heads, hich hang a set of correct LS5 valve covers over forged rods, orged pistons, forged crank with a fully balanced rotating assembly. At the bottom of those heads, oated Hooker Competition headers send spent gases into high performance, rue-dual pipes. At the top rear section of the manifold, n aftermarket HEI distributor shoots spark through 8mm ignition wires. In front of those wires, n attractive Stock pulley system spins a longneck casted water pump between an AC Delco alternator and stock OEM power steering components. Below that shifter; rich carpet floats monochromatic, ldquo;SS” branded floor mats under stock kick panels and foot pedals. At the front of that carpet, n “SS” branded dash frames a stock AM head unit and OEM Classic Dash instrument panel incasing all featured gauges. In front of the driver, comfort grip SS embossed steering wheel spins a thick wrapped rim around a stock tilt column with a reverse lock out ignition switch. And behind the passengers, restoration-fresh trunk features weather-free spatter paint.
