Retaining its original steel body, his very rare stepside, hort bed truck was built to its current glory from the ground up…and it shows!
The first generation of C series Chevrolet trucks introduced a new body style of light pick-up truck that featured many firsts, uch as drop-center ladder frame, llowing the cab to sit lower, nd independent front suspension, iving an almost car-like ride in a truck.
Finished in a brilliant combination of Blue Metallic and Ivory White, his all steel body pickup sits with an aggressive lowered stance and is extremely attractive with its chrome baby moons and whitewalls. The trim is present, omplete and displays normal wear with a bright finish. The front chrome bumpers is tight and finish is exquisite. The beautiful custom oak bed with an excellent fit and finish. The fuel tank has been relocated and fits underneath the bed and is easily accessible from the back of the truck.
Inside the custom interior features an ivory vinyl bench seat which looks great. The exterior matching door panels and dashboard are a continuation of the striking exterior of the truck and look fantastic. The door panels incorporate the same color as the bench seat with the bonus of blue trim. The headliner matches the same ivory color of the roof. The weather-stripping is excellent condition, ith no signs of drying, earing or shrinkage. All the Auto-Meter equipment gauges are ergonomically placed, nd have a pleasing appearance as well as the addition of a tachometer. The thin faux wood designed three spoke steering wheel with tilt column is in excellent condition.
This exceptionally built ’65 pickup iswell equipped with a chrome accessorized and upgraded 327cid Chevrolet V8 engine fed by a Demon 4 barrel carburetor, erformance aluminum intake, delbrock air cleaner and Edelbrock valve covers. Power is transferred to the wheels by a Tremec T-56 five-speed manual transmission. Drivers assist features include 4 wheel power disc brakes. Keeping the small block cool is a aluminum radiator and electric fan. 15-inch original steels are painted ivory to match the roof with chrome beauty rings and center baby moons and B.F. Goodrich wide whitewall radial tires.
The builder of this GMC kept his design clean and simple, rom the eye catching blue exterior to the chrome accessories in the engine bay, verything works together to make this one of the most beautiful ’65 GMC C100 pickups we ever seen!… GET OUT AND DRIVE!
