Description

Selling my 2002 Porsche911 Targa (996 series) in Arctic Silver with Black leather interior, -speed manual transmission.
75,500 miles, etailed service and maintenance records and Carfax available. Great condition, o accidents, amage, eaks or other issues. Moderate mileage range for its age indicates consistent, ealthy driving history, hich is what you want (low-mileage would be a red flag in my opinion). Ready to drive and makes a great daily driver or weekend toy.
**Important to note: this car had its IMS bearing professionally replaced in 2014 to pre-empt risk of catastrophic engine failure that has afflicted some older 996's (plenty of information online about this risk and the benefits of IMS replacement -- highly recommended, o need to worry).
New clutch, lywheel and sparkplugs were also installed at the same time in 2014. New battery, ipers in 2015. Oil changed within last 1500 miles, ew tires within last 2500 miles.
Options include carbon fiber shift knob and handbrake lever, eated seats, adar detector, -CD changer, ose sound system, 8" alloy wheels, eather interior/seats.
Targa roof was redesigned in 2002 -- if unfamiliar, he entire top functions as a large sunroof, nd slides back underneath the rear window to allow driving with the roof open. See photos. Rear window opens up as a hatchback to allow easy access to storage behind/on top of rear seats.
Car has always been garaged and hand-washed and is in great condition. Retains its original shine (original paint throughout), o rust or accidents/damage. When freshly washed, he car looks new to those not familiar with 911 body type changes since 2002.
Some minor issues to mention (just for full disclosure):-minor wear/curb rash on some of the wheels-a couple of minor scratches/marks/surface damage on bumpers and passenger side body-navigation unit does not work (but radio/CD player, ux line-in audio in glove compartment and radar detector on dashboard are working)These are all barely noticeable and can be left as is or replaced/fixed for relatively low cost. I left as is so the new owner can address according to preference but just wanted to mention. Will not interfere with enjoyment and the driving experience at all.
Car comes with original manuals, ey fobs, ervice/maintenance records, pare tire and toolkit. Happy to send copies of the Carfax and service records.
This car is in great shape and has been very reliable, o headaches, ots of fun to drive. Sad to let it go but becoming incompatible with my lifestyle/living situation. With the work put into it, t should be ready for years of hassle-free driving.
