1964 Austin FX4 London Taxi - All original
A stunning 1964 FX4 London Taxi. I call her Betsy. Her engine, ransmission and brakes were recently completely restored by Kip Motors -Dallas,Texas who are specialist in restoration of British cars at a cost of 15,000 dollars. The Taxi has always been housed in a garage and detailed weekly ( I'd bring her in the house if the doors were wide enough). Her headlight bulbs were replaced last week along with her wipers from the UK. She has not been fussed with or converted or made to be something she never was meant to be. She has a manual transmission, ight hand drive, assenger and drivers's seat in the front, passenger seat is easily removed), nd a dream to drive. She is as original as she can be including the fare meter and petrol engine. Mileage is an astounding 200 miles from the time the engine was restore to her original specifications. The leather on the seats carry that beautiful patina from the years and much sought after when you want untouched leather in excellent shape. The headliner looks replaced to me, ut when I purchased it I was told it was original. I doubt the veracity of that statement. I adore this car, nd if you are in love with the build of the FX 4 you will not be disappointed. She's a head-turner if ever there were one.. Betsy has been on movie shoots, nd done promotional work for local businesses. For car enthusiasts or collectors, nd lovers of all things British this car will bring you years of joy.
